  • Approach

Leor works with adolescents, young adults, and adults, grounding her work in developmental, relational, emotion-focused, person-centered, and somatic approaches. She has a particular focus on adolescence and young adulthood, recognizing these as periods of significant growth, identity development, and increasing independence. Alongside new opportunities and experiences, these years can bring emotional, social, academic, family, and cultural challenges that can shape how we relate to others and understand ourselves and our place in the world.

Leor offers a space to slow down, attune to the wisdom of your body, process difficult experiences and emotions, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Throughout this process, she will encourage you to approach your experiences with curiosity, openness, and self-compassion. Together, we may explore recurring relational patterns, different parts of yourself, and the connections between thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. This can foster greater self-understanding, help you recognize your strengths and resilience, and support new ways of responding to emotional and relational challenges.

Leor works collaboratively and relationally, tailoring therapy to each person's strengths, experiences, and goals. She brings warmth, curiosity, gentleness, and a non-judgemental stance to her work, believing that healing develops within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely respected, supported, and seen in your full humanity. She will walk alongside you as you move towards your goals at your own pace, believing that you are the expert in your own life.

Leor also approaches her work through a culturally sensitive lens, recognizing that external, cultural, societal, and systemic influences shape identity, belonging, relationships, and wellbeing.

She is honoured to join you in this work.

    Scholarship & Community Engagement

Leor values the integration of clinical practice, research, education, and community engagement. Alongside her counselling practice, she works as a research assistant and recently co-authored two academic papers examining how identity-based discrimination and stigmatization can affect wellbeing, belonging, resilience, and professional life within higher education.

Leor also teaches spin and older-adult group fitness classes. This work reflects her interest in the relationship between emotional and physical wellbeing and the role movement can play in supporting health across the lifespan.

She brings many years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and post-secondary students through mentorship, leadership, peer support, community-based mental health roles, and career advising. These experiences continue to inform her understanding of the developmental, relational, social, and emotional challenges that can arise during adolescence and early adulthood.

During this transition, you may see both Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and psychotherapist-related language used on our website. While terminology is evolving, our qualifications, approach to therapy, and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care remain the same.
